Application requirements

  • BSc degree or college degree in Civil Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, or Postgraduate Course in Urban Drinking Water Supply and Sewerage.


  • Engineer Specialised in Environmental Management 

Aim of the postgraduate course

To train engineers specialised in Environmental Management who will be able to

  • follow and apply the latest professional, scientific and innovative results in the following areas: construction, maintenance, design, investment, state administration and business enterprise
  • become specialists in the following areas: water-, air-, noise- and vibration protection and waste management in the professional field of environmental protection.

Subject modules with volume of credit points

  • Basic Science Disciplines: 56 credit points

Basics of Urban and Regional Development and Environmental Protection, Technical and Legal Regulations, European Dimension, Geology and Hydrology, Physics-Chemistry-Biology, Informatics, Human Resource Management and Geoinformatics, Quality Control.

  • Basic Science Disciplines (compulsory to choose): 

Basics of Environmental Design, Transportation Engineering.

  • Professional Subjects: 54 credit points

Informatics for Environmental Engineers; Environmental Management and Economic Regulations; Waste Management; Soil- and Water Protection; Air Protection; Noise- and Vibration Protection; Environmental Protection System Technique; Environmental Protection Technologies; Environmental Impact Assessment.

  • Professional Subjects (compulsory to choose): 

Environmental Modelling; Conservation Engineering and Water Management.

  • Thesis: 10 credit points

  • 120 credit points
